Privileged intent: Server Members
Section titled “Privileged intent: Server Members”ClashDuke uses the Server Members privileged gateway intent. It powers:
- Autoroles — applying roles when a member links an account or their in-game state changes.
- Nickname sync — keeping Discord nicknames aligned with in-game names.
- Welcome onboarding — auto-posting the welcome kit when a new member joins
(see
/link welcome).
This intent is granted automatically through the invite link. If you self-host or manage the application yourself, enable Server Members Intent in the Discord Developer Portal under your application’s Bot settings.
After inviting
Section titled “After inviting”Your server is on the free plan the moment the bot joins — no card, no trial countdown. See Plans.
Run /setup clan to start tracking. See Server setup.
Set a manager role, wire feeds, and add reminders in the Quickstart.
